The only way to get the attention of your perfect client

I want to tell you about a trick I learned to easily close more clients. I know many people who say it’s what separates the businesses that are bound to fail from those who are most likely to succeed.
And if you really grasp what I’m about to tell you… I think you will recall this for the rest of your career.
Almost any salesperson out there tries to sell anything to anyone and that just won’t work. I hate to break it to you, but no one in the Sahara Desert would buy sand from you or anyone. Not everyone needs our product, but we need customers. Indeed we depend on them.
And for them to buy? - We need them to be the perfect fit for our product.
Let us get customers
If you want to sell someone something, a good start would be getting their attention. It’s obvious that if someone is not listening to you, you won't be able to sell them.
But the problem I often see is that many ads lack this.
If we were at an overcrowded train station and you had only one chance to get my attention…
AND your life would depend on it - what would you do?
You would probably scream my name as loud as you can. Because that’s what intrigues me.
And with Ads it’s the same. The worst thing to do would be to say something bland and lame! You just won’t reach anyone.
This is why the start and first line of your ad is so important. Or your website. Or phone script. Or video.
Blow it there… and the rest doesn’t matter.
So what do we write?
Your primary goal is always focusing on your audience. If you want to sell Premium Quality Bananas, the first line of your Ad should be something like “Are you tired of normal bananas and want to try something better?”
Most people will scroll right through - but it doesn’t matter. Because even if they decide to stay, they wouldn’t buy our bananas. Because they don’t need any.
But if someone who really needs better bananas and is ready to pay the price saw your Ad, then you’ve hit the Jackpot.
Your aim shouldn’t be to make an Ad reasonable for everyone and targeting anyone.
Target the right audience for your product and the people you think are most likely to buy
Talk like you are talking 1 on 1 with your perfect customer. Use their common language and expressions. Talk about their desires and their needs.
Don’t make Ads neutral because you’re afraid they would hurt some bystanders feelings.
Get the attention of your ideal customer and intrigue THEIR desires and emotions.
And I have a “Trick” for you:
The simplest way to see if your first line of the Ad is a good “Headline” ask yourself this:
Does it pass the:
“Headline & Phone Number” test
If you ran an Ad with just the headline and a phone number underneath, would anyone call? To create a better picture of this I’ll use 2 examples.
Bad Ad:
“BusinessName123 is the best real estate agency - call Justin today”
Call 123-456-789
Like this you just made a statement… and no one really cares anyway.
Everyone wants to know what’s in it for them and how to fix their problems or get to their desires.
Good Ad:
“Your house sold in 90 days or we pay you $15,000”
Call 123-456-789
Now if this was something from a newspaper, I can bet you my house, the telephone would ring like crazy. Because it is very hard and slow to sell a home nowadays and this Ad manipulates that problem and the desire to sell a house fast, perfectly.
Now go out there and fix your Ads. Recognize common mistakes and correct them. It’s probably overwhelming at first but once you get the hang of it it’s pretty straightforward.
And if you are still stuck and don’t know what to do, you can have us do it with you and for you.
We handle Marketing, you handle everything else!
