Have you ever come across a salesperson who was so salesy and sleazy that tried everything to just make you buy their product?

It’s something many of us have experienced at least once in our life and it’s a shitty feeling.

Not only is it unnecessary but it seems they can’t even stop talking. It’s stupid.

If you read this article you will know enough to avoid that mistake and learn how to sell properly.

So what’s the SECRET?

The problem with selling is that people have the wrong idea of it. Everyone thinks that you have to utilize very complicated sales and manipulation tactics to make anyone buy anything.

I’m sorry to tell you… but that’s not the case and here’s why:

Everyone likes to buy, but no one likes to be sold.

So the REAL problem is that Ads are targeting and spamming everyone until they buy. And it doesn’t work. But they are necessary and customers won’t come by themselves.

So here’s how to run bulletproof Ads the proper way which will get you more clients than you know what to do with.

I call this strategy the “Three Point Way”.

  1. The Starving Crowd

In order for people to buy something off you, they need to have a problem, which your product helps solve. People need to have a strong desire for it or be in big need of it.

And that’s the Starving Crowd Principle.

A business professor once asked his students: “If you run a hot dog stand and are able to have just one advantage that no other hot dog stand could ever have, what would it be?”

Everyone started thinking of the obvious. Good prices, the best location, the best quality hot dogs, a beautiful stand… And that’s when the professor finally said no.

“You want a starving crowd,” he said.

No matter if you have the WORST meat or prices in town, if someone is hungry they will surely buy.

=So before starting a business ask yourself who needs the things you can offer.=

2. Can Your Clients Pay You?

Now I know it’s a bummer, but sometimes you will have a starving crowd, and still it will make no sense to sell. Let me explain:

If I offered my marketing services to some 11-year old kid, to help him sell more of his toys, he wouldn’t be able to pay me because he makes 10 pennies per sale.Even if he had sold 1000 pieces he still couldn’t afford to pay me. So it just wouldn’t make sense to try and sell him.

3. Can You Reach Your Audience?

The number of business owners who get the first 2 things right is enormous, but still so many of them fail on this third point. So listen closely.

If you become a plumber, there isn’t going to be a list of people whose toilets are clogged. So you need to have some kind of a strategy for how you’re gonna find such people.

When running Ads it’s the same. Not always will every app you can run ads on have the right audience. Furthermore it can happen that your right audience can’t be found on any app at all.

Who knows. Maybe for your business you have to run TV advertisements or set up billboards.

If you can’t get to talk to your ideal buyers, well then that business is not worth trying.

So let’s sum up things.

For no matter what business you are in you should always target people who need you, can pay you and are reachable.

But don’t forget that no matter what you do, always make sure to provide your customers enough value.

And I have some extra points for you

Never be the one who competes on price. There is always going to be some moron in Bangladesh or some other country working for 14 cents an hour that you’ll have to compete with.

And more importantly that doesn’t make you stand out, but rather creates the impression that your product is low value.

Make sure to analyze if you are making any of these mistakes in your client acquisition stage. Fix them and you’ll have yourself a bulletproof money printing machine.
